They can still be useful, though articles....
A lot of article directories are ranked on " content farms", and a lot of article directories come across that way.
But i don't think so Google rejects them while doing SEO .

It is good, won't be harmful for your website.
Yes you can post one article into many directories but not more than one article in many article directories.
Just one unspinned article.

There are several high traffic article sites.
I have not gained much valuable links by submitting articles to article directories but I do get.

We should change same article in your....
But it's good that you have published the article first on your site.
To my experience you can make your website link on article directories but not use same content directories.
