I take 40$ per pencilled page (in case of covers and splash pages it doesn't go higher, it's always 40$).
I edit my pages to give them an inked like look, so they are ready to color. This means that if you hire me as a penciller you don't need inker for...

Depends entirely on so many factors...do you want to specialize in environment concept work but I've done a lot of vehicles and characters as well.

So while you wait for your Wacom, pick up liquid ink and a brush .
On earth is that "close enough" if it's not digital?!
Also great digital line work tends to come from having great traditional line work.
