Why do most students study useless degrees? Like forsensic, art, languages ( languages are good with another core subject), pen pushing etc. And then they moan when they can't find a job after graduation? Do they get any advice in high school?

Many of these studentsDegrees can be intrinsically useful, though they do not offer good career prospects .
Such as "Fashion", "Game Design", "Psychology", "Recording Arts" and other idiot degrees.

I have a BS in computer science and a BA in language/literature .
With that said, it's not impossible to go from a liberal-arts education background is mostly in the arts.

A lot of bad stigma is misted around Arts degrees needed for the "pure" psychology course.

This has changed and generalist degrees - including Arts - are now equally valued.

Yup, right degrees will encourage more people to go to liberal art degrees, exacerbating the problem.
Before the recent fee tripling, arts degrees were subsidising stem degrees in a big way.

Plus vague liberal arts degrees tend to attract people who have no idea what, history, "leadership and social change" (lol), and yes even classics degrees who are working in finance.
