How do Southeast Asians view Northeast Asians?
Southeast Asia is a geographic region, and Southeast Asian refers to the people of that region. Hmong who live in Laos can be considered Southeast Asian. Miao who live in China should be considered East Asian. That is, unless you want to talk about race and ancestry, in which case almost all Asians are thought to have come from Southeast Asia, in which case the issue is moot.

My fellow Southeast Asians - Do you know that the East Asians look down on us?
It is more about the wealth and the power of the country more than anything else. For instance S African tends to behave more superior than other African nations which are all blacks. The US and Canadians are of similar race, people in the US behave more superior than Canadians. The same theory applies to Japan, Korea vs S E Asian countries.

Can being Asian still make you a URM?
I'm working with the Community Outreach Director at one of the dental schools, and he's working on a project that helps URM get into dental school by providing help with the application process, and he said that he considers certain Asian groups to be URM. So Asians such as Philipinos, Hmong, and others that you mentioned would probably count, but he said that because they're technically Asian, it's up to them to be able to support the claim that they are URM, ie, know about the population statistics that would qualify you as such.

Are Indians asians?
East Indian are Asian, but I just tend to call people by the country they're from. Wouldn't that make things A LOT easier for everyone. And if you get it wrong just say, my mistake, and move on.

Dairy in Asian Cuisine?
Does the lactose-intolerance issue not mostly answer this question? I imagine if a large proportion of the population of an area can't digest milk, it won't become part of their cuisine even if they're exposed to its use.
