The oxygen cycle is out of balance..
Fact is we can get the manmade co2 down to nothing and co2 would still rise.
Years? You can chuck in the massive deforestation going on as well .

They absorb more CO2 as they grow faster" I just feel like slapping them and asking "where does the CO2 go in the tree you just chopped down?" Forests might be a sink over a VERY long time period.

Of CO2 happens to 1) have the isotope ratio of carbon which was laid down in the carboniferous era, 2) rises in equal proportion to the drop in atmospheric oxygen, and 3) also rises in proportion.

It would use up more energy and release more co2 than you remove as it is very diffuse , 0.02 that the biggest part of the energy input is electricity to extract CO2 from ambient and produce H2 by electrolisys and not the heat to produce....

If all the CO2 in the atmosphere as they ran out of their own CO2 supply, but oceanic plants would not be affected as they use dissolved CO2.
