It has been a very wet season so maybe the heat inside the house can't escape because of the cooler... .
What about putting a low voltage fan in the attic or those spinning vents to vent the attic.
The coal heat should be more dry though...

Thanks as much fresh air in as the exhaust vents can put out .
Do not add gable vents to a ridge/soffit system.

Whats the general opinion on this. Ive been reading alot of conflicting opinions. Some that its ok because a properly ventilated attic can be considered outdoors. Some that it must be vented directly outside the attic space. Ideas?

Insulated vent pipe from the fan it is 8 years old ...
Create considerable condensation in the attic when vented inside there.
