I'm a misplaced Aussie slumming it in sunny Switzerland for a few years and I'm desperately missing
beloved Dees are 1:1; The bombers gave them yet another football lesson last weekend.

but thought all the aussies on here were League fans (except mabey OzScott).

Familiar with Aussie vernacular understands that one does not "root" for a sport there....
Football Association of North America is not all Aussie expats... nor are the players in the USAFL
Just wondering if anyone else here is a fan of the world's best football code ...

And Australian rules football is rarely played in the USA the players wrote up composite rules consisting
of throwing, which isn't allowed in Australian rules football and kicking which is rarely used in Gridiron
with their Australian hosts at Australian football.
That proved to be a bad idea. Aussie Rules is a kicking...

Commission is taking Australian Rules? (ie towards soccer/gaelic with respect to physical contact).
and physical contact is the main element, Aussie Rules has more dimensions to the game.
The 50:50
contest in Aussie Rules is its main attraction and IMO why the game is superior to the controlled

Time during the game. There is no offside rule nor are there set positions in the rules; unlike many
a goal is scored. There are also other rules pertaining to allowed player positions during set plays
