Are autism rates really climbing or is the diagnosis of autism climbing? Recently an article was published that showed ADHD as way over diagnosed, especially in males. Is autism the current diagnosis de jour or is there a real problem?

I think stronger criteria for the diagnosis of autusm is a good thing. I feel that "Autism" has become the newest PC catchall for everything that is wrong with children these days.

So I'm aware of the vaccine debate, but I was reading an article that claims a study was done with monkeys that showed a link between the vaccines and autism. My question is how the heck do you tell if a monkey has autism? I'm not making a claim for either...
