Since you have been son receiving a formal DX.
He shows autistic tendencies, but we will refrain from a dx until he turns 2.

Is the reason it's so high is the Dx criteria is based on a spectrum, and that spectrum has a pretty wide arc of fire - those stats don't break down levels of functioning, just a flat out Dx.

Works for a local autism charity said was a wonderful fit for her DS (Dx with PDD-NOS - she what I call the "autism cold shoulder".
It's possible she could have some form of autism, but there is really no way to know for certain until you have her evaluated. I would recommend seeing bringing up your concerns with her pediatrician, and perhaps with a pediatric neuropsychologist. Children...

Because of the needs....
Approximately 75-80+% of all autism spectrum peoples experience some type of GI abnormaility therefore it cannot go w/o mention on his own.
Research being done on the MET C & G links between autism and gut function.
Just wondering if anyone else shares this diagnosis. It makes everything so tricky. Is his behaviors the autism or the MR ? the doctor seems to think the MR is our big problem. autism and mental retardation...some jackpot, huh ? not to be such a downer...
