I have auto syncing on , so when i am at the office and changes get made it auto syncs after every 15 Min, logical ? however when i am not on teh wifi network and i make changes in PI it tries to sync after ...

The automatic management refers only to the sync, and then sync the books on....
I use a Sony reader too and can confirm that there is no automatic sync of the books in the calibre library with the reader.

Labels haven't there's such low internal memory.
