What are some software packages available to provide 90% of the avatar functionality for my games? My favorite is xbox's Avatar system (but I want it in my PC games).
I need the ability to customize the looks of a person (body, clothes, etc...).

XNA Avatar....
It's already been submitted it will be available.
The game using it must carry an E on the XNA platform, but the avatar functionality isn't available yet.
An avatar API, but it's use is restricted from what I understand.

I've been having this issue ever since then current dashboard came out and I migrated my account to South Africa.
I've read numerous ways on have to fix it.
I've deleted the avatar editor and it's cache and restarted my console and all that and I still...

So i went through all the rewards and clothes and made a listHey DB! ....
As i open the avatar editor it tells me "Avatars have chaged - Your clothes must be updated"
also my doesn't work you can still edit the avatar..

Alright, this is like the "above you" avatar games, but you look at the 2 avatars above you and say which one of them do you think would win if they went at each others throats. twisted

When Microsoft Live introduced avatars with the NXE a lot of people probably thought of Nintendo Mii's. But actually Rare did such a good job with the avatars that we were clammering for new clothes and items. Microsoft then brought the avatar marketplace...

D will not be necessary for this, but the painter algorithm that is common in the 3D world might IMHO save you some work:
The painter algorithm works by drawing the most distant objects first, then overdrawing with objects closer to the camera .
