B&M fitted some GP-7s with steam generators and auxiliary water tanks at the rear of the long hood (this made for an interesting blockiness at the rear of the locomotive). What road numbers were modified this way and are any good pictures available?

While the steam generator does fit entirely in the short hood, many B&M GP-7s show no outward by the B&M at Billerica Shops.

I guess I sort of had the vague impression that the passenger steam from my father's notes.
Certainly heard of how #470 was the last passenger run under steam I didn't realize that this was also part of a system wide pattern.

I am wondering how to get to the former B&M shops to take pictures of the place, but i have no idea on where it is located or how to get to it. I understand that i will need to take the commuter rail train from north station to the north billerica depot...

Was B&M using run-through power from other railroads on that train? I bet our Mr in Tyngsboro from '61-'63.
To learn about what things were like in "the old days."
As far as overall B&M power was concerned coal train power.

At the inception of ConRail, what were the reasons the federal government had to make ConRail retain the commuter services it had rather than turn them over to say Amtrak? Or, for that matter, since ConRail basically took over the roads that were running...

Given the good news on the SD70M's and ACe's from Athearn, here is a retooled GP-9 pair right out of the box from Athearn.
