On trip to the US I am always amazed by the affiliate system, meaning they have 210 separate lots of local NBC, FOX, CBS and ABC stations. So even in really small markets you can have 4 stations battling each other with their local news broadcasts.

TV and radio spots on local stations run from the hundred's news and I remember in the 90's the local station's around here in Columbus were upgrading and one battling each other with....
