This week our creche seems to have moved the toddlers into the baby room. I know that a few children seem to have left lately. But imo the toddlers and babies should be kept separate, or am I just being fussy? Is this the norm in other creches?? DD is...

Well, for the most part they were mixed, so I think it depends on the crèche and how few babies and toddlers they have.
At the creche ds goes to, they keep the toddlers and babies separate.

We take Marie's advice and add subjects in a little at a time kids .
Here's a few quick ideas that I used off and on:

They normal sleep for 1 hour after lunch.
I have 3 all sleeping at the same time 2 in the double buggy (2&1.5 yr old) and 1 yr old in the hall in the single buggy .
It is great when you can get them all to sleep at the same time .

I sit in the room with ....
I make sure there's a good selection available and might set up a table with interesting things on to explore .
They can reach the toys themselves, so just get out what they want to .
For that age group it's nearly all free play.
