I was listening to Under African Skies by Paul Simon and the backup singer kept jumping out at me. It was Linda Ronstadt of course. Any other songs where the backup grabs your ear.

Was listening to an old 1976 mix tape I made years ago and reflected that Brad Delp of Boston and Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy did all lead and backing vocals on their albums, which meant that in concert the other band members had to step in and their backing...

Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this topic, but the back-up singers kicked ass last night and they deserve some props. Who are they? Do they get any recognition? I guess due to age limits, they probably can't compete on AI?

The backup singers are VERY annoying.
I thought they sounded like in the minute or two that the Home montage is being shown .

There have been thousands of these; it's time to document 'em. Lead singers are the voice of the band for a reason.
The most obvious one that comes to mind comes courteous of Tesla, in the song Rock Me :
