Despite the baht gaining significantly against euro and usd, import food prices havn't changed in the downward direction.
Example a 250 gram can of Illy coffee is an astounding 719 baht.

Best place to exchange yen to thai baht? I am traveling from Japan to Thailand and want to know where I can get the best rate for changing money? At the bank or airport here in Japan? Or would it be better to wait until I get there?

Once in Bangkok go to Super Rich, locate and information on this website http://www.superrichthailand.com/editor... .
So only change enough yen to baht at the airport you will need for a day or two.
Will be in Thailand but not at the airport.
