I have balls bouncing around and each time they collide their speed vector is reduced by the Coefficient of Restitution.

If you are representing the ball graphically, then your epsilon might correspond to, say velocity.
A reasonable value for epsilon is going to depend on the constraints of your system .

Interesting how some clubs limit or prohibit the playing of two-ball or twosome games at the weekend. The old unwritten rule of twosomes having priority on the course seems to have died out completely in favour of weekend...
