Without the clip the only way that lower ball joint can come out is if the upper ball joint off all right, but the upper ball joint does not have to fail..it simply comes out too.

So `i'm looking at a used mac ball joint puller that has one of the sleeves missing so i contacted mac to find out how muck a replacement was and i got this part number #OT29505 which looks like an OTC number so i`m assuming that OTC makes this for mack...

Mine's about three years old and US made.
My Mac is a dead ringer for an OTC, but is branded Mac on each piece, not OTC like on the Cornhole truck or even Matco sometimes .

Ok, I replaced all 4 ball joints like back in May and when I was replacing my front tires, I was told that upper ball joint on driver side is sticking out.
So the shop replaced it and told me the hole is too big therefore the ball joint won't stay in....

If your trying to remove the ball joint from the control arm they are pressed is a BFH should do the trick.
Using a pry bar pry downward on the ball joint.
And soak the hell out of it.
