This elephant is made from two 260 balloons and one white scrap.
Inflate the first 260 leaving a 2" tip.
Bend the balloon at the nozzel end.
Make two bubbles and tie them together using the white scrap.
Ease the 260 balloon up between the white bubbles...

Suggestion:
Put some water into a 5" round balloon and gently inflate it.
Make a 5" bubble and wrap tail.
Then....
The other 260 balloon leaving a 5" tip and wrap the lip knot in.

How can a pilot not see that he is getting too close to a hot air balloon. Was he trying to dock with it in mid air?
Would having used the "see & avoid" technique maybe helped to avoid this?

The balloon? I have flown around balloons, but never got within quarter mile, there is no reason to hit one, even if you have motor problems!! There's a balloon up nearby just after sunrise almost dumb.
