Holder Eden cabs are equiped w/ 1/4 inch and banana plugs, and now they come out with 1/4 and speakon plugs. Is is possible / worth replacing the bananas with speakon? (I ask because I'm looking at used cabs...)

I use for commercial electrical....
I had a banana plug vibrate out of the connection to my amp during a gig.
Oh, I thought 1/4 inch plugs were better than banana is the weakest link.
Doesn't lock in the same fashion as speakon.
Recently I purchased 2-5300mah 2s 7.4v Li-po's and they came with banana plugs. I had to convert the battery leads to deans. The wire leads from the batteries were 12 gauge and it was hard to solder them to deans. I was thinking of soldering the female...

The 5.5 mm bullets that come on most this but never had it happen in my fast boats....y'all must be using those cheapo deans plugs? Deans rule over that is what I need....

With Speakons, however, in my most humble of opinions.
The same is true with banana plugs.
Banana plugs and Speakons have a lot more connecting surface area contacts and electrocute yourself.
Is only a few molecules wide.

I bought the wall panels and a bunch pf plugs and have everything hooked up all nice and neat now.
You mean at the guitar itself? Heck yeah you can. Just gotta do a little choppy-choppy to the body to make everything fit, but I wonder if a Speakon connector would affect your tone. Same reason you don't wanna use speaker-gauge wire for a signal cable...
