This band seems to be very popular with producers, with Benjamin Bates, Ronald van Gelderen, and Cor Fijneman all saying Coldplay is one of their favourite bands. (Check the [i:Vibes] interviews for more on that. ) Just wondering if the same holds true...

All in all though I'm not really a fan of Coldplay's music in its original depressing.
Coldplay is a truly original band than any of thier tracks.
The Scientist is by far one of the best tunes in pop music today .

Personally I feel Radiohead has a little more unique sound than coldplay, but both are extremely in competition but I'm not about to start a fan war I'm still waiting for the two bands to do a song together.

Bands you like... but probably are not so popular on this forum. This is kind of the opposite of bernardo gui's post on bands you hate that everybody else likes.

I know they have a good few songs etc, but why is everyone so obsessed with them? People who listen to rap all of a sudden hit out with "Coldplay are the best band" when they don't even listen to anyone else.
