Only bands that I am aware of that play in this tuning is Interpol and Velvet Revolver(only a few). I know it sounds silly since I should know plenty of more bands that play with this but i meed help This will be fun since I will get to hear new bands...

A friend's band plays in central Florida one drummer for my band a few weeks ago who came highly recommended.
Along with Tommy Castro style bands with one or two horns.

When bands play an album in it's entirety, do they play other songs too? I'm thinking of seeing Metallica when they play Ride the Lightning. Will they only play 8 songs? Or will they play a handful of other songs too?

I played in bands where the guitarists tuned DADGBE (I only have 4 string....
But you don't play chords on bass.
I have 5 string basses but the band I play in is a 4 that tuning.
To D for certain tunes has been quite common.

After band practice tonight we had a discussion about the current dilemma of being a local, original NYC band... It occurs to me that even though it's probably exaggerated here its a similar situation everywhere...
