Who's got a banjo? Who plays one? Does anybody else ever have a hankering to learn? What's a good starter banjo? Enquiring minds want to know.

I've been playing guitar for about 2.5 years now, and I just got a Banjo for my birthday. I'm pretty excited about it, but I was wondering, does it translate at all - Like the top 4 strings in the guitar equals all 4 strings on the bass guitar, is there...

A new banjo by Brooks Masten who lives here in Portland, Oregon.

As with all rosewood necked....
Diz was unable to tell me if it had been
replaced as he'd bought it like 50s .
Given the age of the instrument I was surprised that it wasn't rosewood for necks.
That the neck was solid East Indian rosewood.

Banjo I've been eyeing this banjo at an auction gallery. Since I first looked at it, they have had strings put on it. It's a pretty cool little banjo. I'd like to own it, and see if I can pull some banjo music out of it. It seems to play ok, and sounds...

Can't you just go to a dumpster or pound somewhere and find one.
