We went to Tapas after 2 years and found it as good as ever.

Goes without saying , Julia and I will Be there fer sure!!! Bruce i forgot to add,, this is on the lower level so that anyone with physical limitations will have no problem for acces if you are with someone who needs a hand just let us know we have ways... .
My Mom is headed to PV monday and she is looking for the name of the bar that they opened under Barcelonas Tapas. She is hoping that Juan is working there. He used to work at Agave Grill . Any thought?

It is the Agave Grill , it and Barcelona Tapas are owned by the same person, Bill Carballo.

Hi, I'm going to Barcelona in a couple of weeks for 4 days. I would like to book a restaurant which is nice but isn't tapas style eating one of the evenings I am there. Can anyone recommend anywhere which is nice, not michelin star prices, but not backpackingly...

Use a tapas style eating place ONLY one (or none) of the evenings you're here in Barcelona :) WalkBelieve it or not, Catalans (and Asturians neither!) do not go eating tapas at night normally afternoon, but as a meal - no.
I would appreciate recommendations of good tapas bars in central Madrid.In Barcelona last year we really enjoyed lunch in Cerveceria Catalana and i was wondering is there a similar place in Madrid. Many Thanks

Be in heaven in Madrid! There is not a real tradition of 'tapeo' in Barcelona, while its a essential part It is an old market that has been transformed in a "tapas market" ,with lot of "tapas" bars , you to come to Madrid to "ir ....
So, no Tapas thread on SA... Why Lord, WHY?!! Anyway, I should've taken more pictures of yesterday's "one person's meal" to kick this of properly, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway.... A Google- and Wiki-search tells us that the whole Spanish Tapas...

Barcelona hotel?? We are going to stay 2 nights pre cruise for our Europe cruise this summer, can someone please recommend a hotel to stay at in Barcelona. Of course I want it to be in a safe area, not the most expensive but a nice hotel. Thanks!!

There is a local coffee like Neyras at 41 Via Laietana... .
Thanks ate in the tapas bar area, though there is a fancier restaurant in the back.

Hotel in barcelona and taxi to pier Has anyone stayed at the tore catalunya hotel in barcelona and how far is it to pier? Also, is a taxi the best way to go to pier? Thanks for ant help. chip brady

Enjoy Barcelona!:) Along, which included breakfast, free tapas....
After 5 stays in Barcelona I would not recommend that hotel to the pier around $35 as you will pay extra for each piece of baggage.
Was a couple of blocks from Ramblas.
