I breeze everyone, regularly. I teach them gears...and control. I love breezing-- and so do they, although I think of it more as galloping and interval work, as I dont do flat out crazy---it is planned and orchestrated .I also like galloping in pairs ...

Will be a hindrance? Personally I don't think so, a lot of super fast barrel horses are HUGE.

My FIL had a pigeon toed barrel horse that could sure enough burn up a set of barrels. He never had a problem with her. They won or placed everywhere they went. She never took a lame step for as long as he had her. Trail rode her all over the mountains...

Went to the barrel races this weekend with friends, and one of the horses (not anyone's that I knew), broke their leg when rounding the first barrel.
They had to put the horse down right there.
I guess I'm sharing because these events are such a reminder...
