So for a role with a 30k per year salary I'd be looking at a contractor....
I'd like to mention that while cost is naturally a big piece salary that the role is worth in 1000's and use that as the hourly rate.

Gross Salary is total salary without deductions, like professional tax, entertainment allowance etc, when deducted, it is net salary net salary is total....
Gross salary is before taxes, net salary is after taxes.

People will never pay positions then I would leave off the Salary Expectations, or put negotiable.
Asking for too little has been proven to undercut your career salary path.
