Advice for Selling Baseball Cards?
I don't think baseball cards will be worth much in the future either. The market is saturated and there is not a lot of interest in them anymore or in the future. Maybe the collecting phase will happen again like in the 90s but it may not happen at all. With that said I would just hold on to them and see what happens.

Best baseball writers?
Tom Stanton's books are great, especially "The Final Season". I really enjoyed Tom Posnanski's book on Buck O'Neil, and David Mariniss' book "Clemente". I also enjoyed all of David Halberstam's baseball books.

If i keep baseball cards from 1989-1984 in the packaging would they be worth more than if i opened them?
Most definitely just about anything is worth more when kept in original packaging. Particularly really old things where prices of things in their original packaging can sometimes be worth exponentially more than things not in their original packaging.

What is the best modern Baseball RC card?
I'm gonna say either 89 UD Griffey or 93 SP Jeter rookie. Unless i'm overlooking one those would be the top non-auto rookies.
