Satillite beach fishing I will fishing this area, last week in January and need a little help on whats biting, baits to use and places to go..any help would be appreciated!

Those are the places I would start tough....
I only fished from the beach.
While living there, I never kayak fished.
Then you got state parks like Topsail State Park to fish from the beach.
Closest to PCB is Powell Lake.

That's a great haul and being able to catch your own Beach worms is the go! What time did you fish can you go into a little detail with time , tide , if you were fishing a gutter , where the fish you fishing? Nice catch....

Paddle back into the beach and wait.
We use a kayak to drop the baits out past the bar when fishing baits for Sharks and Cobia.

Your thoughts on alvey reels for fishing virginia beach. I haven't done any surf fishing but excited to try it out. I heard to find and buy an alvey reel with a surf rod. So I got a setup...I think. Never used them before. However I'm a great lakes pier...
