If you have clearance on the side, bottom and front of the recoil lug, you should have no problem at all, as long as the cerakote isn't put on too thick. Assuming Rem type receiver..

Coat it, grind the bedding down just a bit with a sanding drum....
I prefer after the coating so as to get the absolute best bedding job! I agree with you, just had several coated after bedding and it didn't change a thing.

After a week or so on the Shuttle, with the steady it's NOT EVEN CLOSE to the stuff he uses.
Ceramic Tile adhesive is good enough for my sticks.

Decided to bypass the cerakote and go straight to the krylon, on my go-to Model 70 7mm Rem Mag. I just had the smith bed it to a Winlite stock and one piece bottom metal....
