My local got the Hopslam.
Very good beer.
IIRC, it was originally a Bond Street Series beer that they only sold in bombers and then moved it into the seasonal lineup.
The Deschutes Red Chair NWPA at HEB today.

But that recipe has three ounces because that's just in theory.

The kids have been going to the brew store with me and decided they want to make some root beer.
So would you add priming sugar to the root beer and bottle like beer if you don't wish to force.

Originally a fantastic beer....
With a beer this big, I would probably go with 2-2.5 pounds of whichever type of sugar you prefer.
For this style, I like to stick to the BJCP guidelines because it makes a fantastic beer.
It a bit malty.
