I have speakers the speakers in front of you at the ear level.
The sound is still propelled forward, and it just seems to sound better from behind.

In Intrepid, when I logged into my desktop over SSH and launched Rhythmbox ( ssh hostname -XYC ), it would play the sound out the desktop's speakers, which is what I want. Now in Jaunty, it plays the sound out my laptop's speakers, which I don't want....

You mention that you know about PlaySound header, whatever you you put in there should play through the speakers.
