So i just finished doing mike nixons "on bike carb cleaning" on carbs 1 and 6 as they were the easiest to try this on first. bike sat for a long time and i got it running rough after some new fuel and basic maint. drain gas through float bowls etc. but...

The only thing you likely will not be able i bought somebody else's project, the bike has the straight carb boots on it, not the angled ones turns out i set mine at 21/2 turns....

has anyone used CLR to clean their bike, parts, chrome, stainless steel etc etc? it does say it cleans chrome, metal etc. just wondering.

The best way to clean grimy bike chain and sprocket is with a can of the right chain lubricant and using it sparingly.

A thorough cleaning occurs whenever I look at my bike and go "EEW!" I do clean my bike same-day if I've ridden when it's wet.
I clean my bike every 150-200 miles...or at least, I try.

If it's 18 up an old bike for someone You need to match the chain to the rear cassette.
The bike shop how many cogs the bike has in back, that determines the width of the chain.
