I was just diagnosed with DCIS and was told I most likely have to get a mastectomy. I already have breast implants under the muscle. Is that good or bad? Do they take them out and replace them? Can I just "add on" with another one? Very overwhelmed and...

They will take out the implants, remove the breast tissue and put bigger implants in, if thats because your skin will be stretched already from your implants so the plastic surgeon should have more skin too manipulate to create the....

I don't know yet what my treatment plan will be (discussing it with surgeon tomorrow morning). But in the event that mastectomy seems to be the best option, I thought of something I hadn't previously thought of.

I have bilateral silicon implants but only because I didn't want of allergies and felt implants....
The expander for implant itself, the implants have a lifespan and need replacement at I believe ~10 year offer her that choice.
