I bought an Ozito biscuit joiner from Bunnings, and some Haron biscuits as they were the only ones stocked by Bunnings. After cutting some practise joints I have found that the Haron biscuits are very loose in the slot. Can anyone help me with my problem...

If you're going to be joining long boards, don't make of biscuits being loose in slots....

I don't quite follow what you are doing, but Biscuits don't really add much strenght they are more for alignment, where the dowels will add a good deal of strength.

Another option might be through tennons I had recently read about ....
I have yet to get out my biscuit cutter since this purchase.
The clearances the cutter makes to insert the biscuit.
They are designed to keep joints from pulling apart.

So use them with a glue that gives you quick results biscuit - then destruction....
Osprey <rick_hug...@btconnect.com I have used it succesfully joining two halves of an outside table entirely from the glue joint, not the biscuit.

Hey Folks. I'm up against my largest table top to date which will be 10' long by 4' wide. Its coming from book-matched walnut slabs 12/4 thick. On smaller tables I chalk line the two halves, free hand it on the band saw and joint it for clean up. I fear...
