For a beginner what's the best eyeliner - gel, pencil or liquid? i want to wear some eyeliner and i was thinking of getting the gel eyeliner with an angled brush? but i read somewhere pencil is the easiest?

I suggest revlon colorstay crayon eyeliner in black.

ELF brightening eyeliner is also alright, and they have quite a few shades on the back of your hand.
Bourgois pencil eyeliner has the nicest texture I've found, maybe they'll have one in the colour you want.

Putting on a thin, black liquid liner on the top will help.
Want your eyes to look bigger put white eyeliner on your lower water line for that effect.

I don't like the hard line liner gives and prefer pencil, I use a little brush to smudge the black eye pencil I use on my top eyelid but it still smudges all over the top of my lid through out the day. Same with the coloured eyeliner I use underneath....
