I'm using stock Asp.net membership with built in Login controls, etc. Problem is that the confirmation email that is send by registering has a body that is blank. It should have a link in it that the user clicks on to confirm their email and register....

My app sends out email to users (upon signup, welcome etc.) and they show up blank in IE. Fine in IE8, Firefox. The content-type for the email is set to html. The email has links.
Any pointers on how to solve this or workaround this, greatly appreciated...

Since Internet Explorer isn't an e-mail client, I can only guess that what you mean is Microsoft Outlook .
IE isn't an e-mail client.

Here's some links to jump start you.
You can add a reference to the Outlook interop assemblies, should be in the Com tab of your add references dialog .
I don't think exchange will help you much, you need to work with outlook on the users machine .
