My pre-facelift 130i is currently in the garage having the BMWP brakes fitted but they seem to be having trouble getting a good pedal when bleeding. I've read about needing them coded but not 100% sure this would cause the issue.
Any help guys?
Cheers...

I have done this solo if you sit infront of the bike so you can reach the brake lever and the bleeder valve....
Just do as Bob said and start with the left, which is the furthest away cylinder .
brake, you can bleed the front.

I'm going to be replacing my brake lines this weekend and wanted to know if it's possible to bleed the brakes by pumping the brake pedal like we did when I was a younger man?

Yes, it is, but it can damage the master to the ABS module and you find you still have a soft pedal after bleeding take the car out and jump on the brakes on a wet....
You can then re-bleed the brakes again to get that air out.
