I use the same connection for both net access and Bluetooth Hotsync or net access via bluetooth.
Connections for network and hotsync.

Are you sure your hotsync port is accessible? I had trouble HotSync feature has....
It says Com3 when I have hotsync on Com1 - go figure) if I try to open the hotsync Local settings window on my work computer with no Z attached.

I've tried everything I can think of. I've read endless forums (I'm kind of tired of reading similar posts) about this seemingly common problem -- nothing has worked. I suspect it is something really simple that I am missing.

I've connected my Zodiac to the PC via bluetooth a few times for fun, but it's not really that....
So increasing the BT range on your computer wouldn't accomplish anything .
The Bluetooth range on the Zodiac unit itself is only 10 meters max.
