Big body trunk pull down repairs or conversions ideas??? Any help, or ideas would be greatly appreciated, I know how to lower the striker manually to get the trunk to close flush, but trunk wont stay latched down securely. A good tug, or when u liftt ...

Has anybody rust ever came across rust/rot not just in the corners of the front seats but also rotted out around a strut tower? also rust/rot in the frame right where the control arm connects? is it salvageable, repairable or body shops that would do ...

The repair panel I'm trying to put on is just to narrow for everything to line up correctly
(you can see in the pic where the piece I cut off will fit over the new one)

We just keep doing it to ourselves.
Repro parts can often simply be "massaged" to fit by making the body lines crisper or rounder depending is get out the body hammer and dollie and make it fit.

So I got hit, should I go with the insurance's body shop? (Progressive)
Seems to be a little easier of a process doing that.
Or should I take it to an actual dealership (Toyota) and have them do it?

I went to a VERY on new metal.
I don't trust body shops.
I've of this, probably because it is required by law that they do .
I think a body shop would be a) easier and b) better because they specialize in those repairs.

Hey anyone work at an auto body? I have a small dent on my rear bumper and looking to get it fixed. I work besides a Kirmac and they Quote: d me $700. Dent is probably the size of a dime and the paint is cracked. Hardly noticeable except by me every time...

I'm replacing body mounts on my 65', I broke 7 bolts unfortunately. I'm now in the process of trying to repair them. Where can I get replacement cage nut housings, or do you guys just build your own. Is there a thread with some tips on this kind of repair...

If any of the receivers need repair, how many nuts and how many cages should I get cage get welded on? Are the spots accessible (e.g., under the seat) to repair? Autobody Specialties.

If you are happy to have a go at plastic welding and spraying then do it yourself
Otherwise get another one off fleabay I agree with Mickey I've repaired panels.with plastic welding and haven't been impressed with it, had better results from fiberglass....
