My 14 month old fell head first into a pot of boiling water!? I was talking on the phone and it looked like she'd been in there for a few minutes. I dried her off but she isn't moving or breathing! What should I do?

I was given this tip by a mate (who'd heard it but never tried it).
Fill plastic bottle with water and throw onto fire and it will boil; handy if you have no container and you're stuck, especially as there are so many littered about.
Does it work? yes...

Provided you don't over do the heat it works fine if you use a really hot of boiling water in a box made of paper, the trick is only to heat the bottom of the container where all would want to be....

Not as hard as you'd think... score with glass cutter, run under boiling water, then cool, then boiling. Repeat until the bottom cracks off.

I assume all it? It was an issue with the stat, but if 'boiling' hot water is coming out of the overflow - who cares what ....
If that is functioning properly it should be cutting out before boiling water spurts out the vent.

So i drive the beast for 10-15 down the road about 5-7 miles or so, by this time the car starts to smoke and the coolant is boiling so i park up and let cool, the fan kicks in, the heating works, i do not know the reading on the gauge as it does not work...

I'd just replace it.
Antifreeze in the coolant will prevent the water from boiling off too quickly, so it or stick it in a pan of boiling water to see if it opens.

I use a bulin BL100 folding gas stove
and an old army kidney cup
which fits on my water bottle...
