Company coming for Wednesday lunch. I thought I would make pasta with
a bolognese sauce. I've never made this sauce before, but I have an
internet recipe which I will use. Anyone have any other ideas as to
how authentic this recipe is? It avoids the use...

Bolognese sauce from 80 years ago isn't "authentic" any more, even for Wednesday lunch.

The title says it all! what it is when im cooking spag bol im having some problems! i like my spag bol basic and easy i.e spaghetti some minced beef and some dolmio sauce all added together :D

Bolognese is a specific type? Sometimes pasta seems to hold in more water than you'd think!
As for the sauce, you may want to thicken.
As an FYI, you're making spaghetti with meat sauce, not Bolognese sauce.

Strictly speaking, bolognese sauce for spaghetti should be a "ragu" that contains beefyou put one on pizza and the other on spaghetti You're probably referring to bolognese spaghetti sauce and the tomato-based pizza base ....

If there is too much sauce for the pasta do as I do, remove some of the sauce in a bowl and leave to the side as you.
Cook the pasta al dente and then toss into the sauce to finish cooking.

Thanks Alex, we do have some brown sauce, thankfully.
Given the small quantity being added it shouldn't be too huge a difference .
Brown sauce would probably be closer in taste, if you have some.
