I'm running a debian system and today I ran aptitude safe-upgrade. It's been a while since I'd down that so it downloaded and installed a bunch of stuff including a new kernal image.
Everything appeared to install fine.
However after a reboot my system...

Ubuntu LiveCD is slower.
AFAIK Knoppix is one of the fastest booting but the menu is very crowded.

I know.
That way when I burn it to disc and boot the live cd, the background image I've chosen automatically loads up instead of the default background image that's built in to Knoppix.
