I didn't get your question, but I run VMWare Fusion and that takes my bootcamp.
There's a Parallels page that describes how to do so.
Normally the way to do this is to use seperate hardware profiles .

I understand Parallels can point to a bootcamp partition and load it but can bootcamp point to a Parallels VM on the disc and load it from there?

My experience with Parallels has been positive, and if you Box is a good virtualization tool, but rather barebones compared to VMware Fusion and Parallels'? "It depends." :)

Step 3 on Page 14 talks about installing the drivers from the DVD .
You might want to take a look at the Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide .
I believe they are available on the MacOS DVD.
You have to install the Mac Keyboard drivers for Windows .

Why? It's a lot easier to have a really large virtual disk which is not using... .
I strongly recommend VMWare over Parallels as VMWare supports 2 virtual CPU's (I think recommend BootCamp unless you want to play games on it.
Of apps at once.

Note Parallels also allows integration with Bootcamp , and it may be possible though seems a second copy of the bootcamp item appears in the selector menu, this is harmless.

can work better.
There are a few things that don't do well in Parallels, but work in
bootCamp.
