Is there any specific braiding styles for dressage shows? Because the horse I am showing has a long mane but I don't know how to french braid so I kinda came up with my own style. Would it be accepted or not?

If the diamond braid looked good: If the diamond braid looked good on him, and you liked it, then you may want to use that.
Level shows you won't need to braid at all if the mane is pulled.
I"ve been using these over my citicas lately, i think I like them more. I have never used braid, and i need to re-spool anyway,so should I make the jump? or are the citicas better for braid?

I am in a clinic this weekend with Linda Zang. Should I braid my horse? I auditied a clinic that she gave last year and everyone was braided but it was an "invitation only" clinic and I am not sure it makes a difference.

It's a respect....
(though I do braid for most competitions cause I think it looks good!) I rodeI usually say that if they have competed at a World Cup, Olympics, or WEG, then yes - braid your horse for the clinic.
