Hi guys, im looking into breakdown cover, i think its probaly one of the best things to get with a chinines bike, but i just dont understand all the differnt things about breakdown cover, i just want somthing that will get me home if i need it.

I've got a 125 and decided that extra....
UK breakdown cover which covers you your bike for and whether the breakdown cover meets your requirements.
covers you up to around a 25 mile radius from your home address.

Currently have AA breakdown cover on my car, but new car comes with AA 5* cover, so am cancelling the personal cover I have.
That leaves me without cover on the bike though
Looking at the usual suspects - ridiculous price on a '99 R1100GS.

The breakdown cover, but I pay £9.99 a month (Lloyds) and have two mobile phones insured, breakdown cover + national rescue + breakdown cover at home' and this is what got me a tow home once.

I have just got my insurance sorted out and when I questioned the breakdown cover they tried to sell me it doesnt cover me if its a breakdown off a public highway. As the most likely place im going to breakdown is going to be a pay and play or laning ...
