From what i have been reading most of the vintage strats had the neck pickup as the highest output.
why do people now want the bridge pickup hotter ?

I have a set of pickups hot bridge pickup...im sure hendrix and clapton in the old days did not have overwound bridge pickups of....
The in between click sound is better with a less powerful bridge pickup.

Anyone heard or know how much Jimi used the Bridge stock pickup on his Stratocaster?
Much of his tone is necktone.
I know Blackmore used the stock bridge pickup quite a bit. I CAME TO RAWK!

Hello, I have a squier affinity strat, had it for a year now and love it but, there is something I don't like about it. The bridge pickup is terrible it buzzes especially when I use effects but it still sounds the best. I don't know too much about replacing...

Pickups work perfectly there is a mark were my thumb rested
on the Neck pickup and some of the material where the mounting screws...

I have had both the JB and dimarzio 36th ann in the bridge and they did not delivery what you seem to be asking when played clean.
It is as if the only two pickup makers in the world are Seymour Duncan and DiMarzio.

The bridge pickup has double adjustable poles, which changed it, they probably changed....
Nice score BTW.
Locking tuners are not stock.
Easiest thing to do would be remove the Bridge pickup & see whats written on the base plate.

The pickup alone was a little had the MM pickup closer to the bridge..
