Scots are British because collectively Scotland, Wales, England, and Northern Ireland form the UK.

I don't understand this. I was in Germany a few days ago and EVERY football fan I met, Bayern supporter or not, wanted them to beat Chelsea. Back in UK it's like half the people passionately...

Following on from the "€250 wedding gift" thread I thought I'd ask your opinions.
In the UK it's normal for a family to give £30-50 as a wedding gift, depending on how close you are to the folks getting married.
Equally, for birthdays £10 or £20 is normal...

Terms like 'british-pakistani' are particularly useful anyway- the truth is the majority of people of people, I probably feel less loyal to those who aren't visibly European.
