Site is ok but it only test the bandwidth from your place to that site only. Still it doesn't measure the performace of your connection. We have ISPs here that tells their clients about the speed measurement of their connection through a web measuring tool like the one posted above. Assuring their clients of the performance of their connection but in reality they're giving something lower than what the clients paid for. source

What annoys me with Virgin adverts, is that they go on about how good their cable Internet is, but, not everyone's area is bloody cable enabled. They obviously aren't bothering with other parts of the country. source

Isn't 256 kbps your cap speed if so then perhaps if during night. I'll try to evaluate Destiny again and give you some feedback as they came today and fix a bit of the slowness. source
