Well, today I got the bad news that my right ankle is officially broken after I twisted it 2 weeks ago and it hasn't gotten any better. Has anyone been on a cruise on crutches or cast and can enlighten me how they got along?

Hi all
Last week i broke my right ankle in a motorcycle accident, i am currently in a cast. I am being told 6 weeks till the cast comes off.
Question is how quickly can i get back on the mtb?

I was in a boot for about 3 weeks & it was very painful .
It did not require surgery.
Excellent surgery can ankle (left outside ankle fibula bone).
It is really hard to say.
That is quite a bit of hardware for an ankle.

Back in Oct I broke 3 bones in my ankle and had to get 8 screws and a plate in it...all from derby practice. I am anticipating getting released by my doc to start skating again at the end of this month!
