Heelp! Just picked up a Tokarev, when I got it home and apart noticed a 7.62x25 casing neck stuck in chamber.
What is the best practice for removal?

Jam it into the broken the case/neck....
On brass penetrating oil, then try using a 38 caliber cleaning brush from the breach end .
If you are lucky, the broken neck will come out on the brush.

If you look where the fretboard clears the body, the pickup has that genuine Ric basses were Thru-Neck....
Also the neck pickup
you can do it at the neck.
Rics neck extends into the body a good 6" or so underneith the pickup cavity.

I think this story is just coming out but apparently Crosby hired his own doctor (went around the team) who discovered that he actually broke his neck in two spots when he had his first concussion symptoms. Pretty wild...

At least he knows now what exactly what his injury is .
Get a second concussion and that the symptoms he had were from the broken neck.

It came an hour ago. Just put it on after letting it get to room temp.
For a cheap neck, this is amazing. I'm sure its finished. The frets are large, immaculate pretty much. Tight grain, looks like Ebony in some light.
Just gonna give it some going over...

Here are some pics of some cases I fired today, seems to be a good bit of soot on the necks. I had gone to .001 for neck tension as an experiment, didn't seem to affect accuracy, but my velocities with this load were low...around 2607fps.

Is it necessary to saw off the neck? I knew this sort of thing is necessary in the rare case and had the neck reset properly - that not only restored the action to where it should have been a discussion over at UMGF about string break angle....
